Over the Memorial Day weekend we took Elliott on his first trip to the Cape. Unfortunately, it was a bit cold for the beach, so his first walk on the sand will have to wait. But, we still had a great time. Grandpa flew up from Baltimore to make the trip with us.
And Grammi and Papa met us down there too!
Since the weather kept us inside a lot, it's a good thing we brought lots of books...
And fun toys to play with...

I think we'll be making lots of trips to the Cape this summer! In other news, our new swaddling blanket arrived and is fabulous -- for those of you anxiously awaiting that update. In fact, the blanket is so great that Elliott is now regularly sleeping a five hour stretch most nights. It starts at 7:30pm, so it's a little early for Mommy and Daddy, but we'll take it!
We had some visitors this week too. On Thursday, our friends Matt and Katie came in from California and spent the night with us. On Friday, our friends Pete and Cat -- visiting from Maryland -- brought their daughter Emma over to meet Elliott. Emma is a few months older than Elliott and has mastered sitting in a chair... something Elliott is still working on! What a cute couple!
