A visit from Uncle Dave

Uncle David unexpectedly dropped in this week -- for four days. He was planning to drive home from school in upstate NY for winter break, but the snow storm forced him to delay. So, he decided to wait out the bad weather at the Conti house -- and then to stay for a few extra days. We loved having him visit!

David hasn't seen Elliott for several months, so they had fun catching up. Elliott took an immediate liking to Dave actually. Usually, very animated people who smile and talk in a high voice get the smiles, but David (being the very serious guy he is) just said in a very flat voice, "Hey Elliott." And Elliott was all smiles. Dave says that Elliott must "get" him. Guess so. Of course, the pooches were also thrilled to have Dave visit.
