On the Move

On Saturday we went up to the Paladino's house to hang out and have dinner with the kiddies. Elliott thought the kids were very exciting -- I think he gets bored at home with just Mom and Dad all the time. He also liked watching football with Daddy and Pat -- even though the Patriots are done for the season. Someone hand Dana a tissue.
Elliott's big milestones this week -- his two front teeth on the top have both come in. They're not fully in, but they're through the gums and ready for chewing action. He's been practicing with some finger foods, which he really likes -- except when he's really hungry, in which case he finds the slow pace of having to chew and swallow each bite frustratingly slow and throws a fit. So, we have to keep some pureed veggies on hand to shovel in his mouth as a backup. Boy loves to eat, what I can say.

AND, are you ready for this... Elliott is finally starting to crawl. Yes, at 10 months he is a little later than average here. But, we were in no rush to have to start chasing him around, so we were content to let him start when he was ready. Turns out he just needed a little incentive... "Yeah, Mom, that remote control I LOVE and you won't let me touch. Just put it on the floor across the room from me and I will find a way to get to it. " It's more of a dragging himself on his belly army crawl at this point, but he is officially on the move. Look out world.

  1. Congratulations Elliott! Way to crawl, big dude. (It reminds me of the video on America's Funniest Home Videos where the parents could only get the kid to crawl if they put a $20 bill in front of him.) :)
